Climb every Mountain

We left our holiday accommodation this morning and dropped my Mum and Dad off at the railway Station in Kyle of Lochalsh.
It was a beautiful day again and clear with just a few clouds dotting the blue sky.
We decided to go across to Applecross via the Bealach Na Ba. We had travelled the other way before but this time had to climb the hairpin road the third highest road in Scotland. It is an old Drovers Road Bealach Na Ba meaning Pass of the Cattle. It must have been some trek to keep the cattle on the pass especially if the weather was bad.
Today we saw three girls cycling to the top. Two made it without stopping and were busy texting their friends etc. There were about 10 sports cars roaring their way to the top and down the otherside , all were parked up outside the Applecross Inn.
We are now in a very cosy hotel in Shieldaig sitting by an open fire watching the X factor. Had a lovely meal in the little pub next door of fresh produce from Loch Torridon. Spotted one of the White Tailed eagles as we watched the sun go down :)
