Feast
What is a Chinese family gathering without a game or two of mahjong? Although I don't know how to play, seeing MJ tables and hearing the noisy banging of the tiles tells me everyone's having a good time. It also brings back wonderful childhood memories of the countless times the cousins played together while the adults indulge themselves in the Chinese's national game.
Unfortunately, OO came down with a high fever this morning that couldn't be brought down by Advil. The doctor thought it was strep throat and got antibiotics started right away. The poor girl was so lethargic all day. She wanted me to carry her all day long and you could tell she was just miserable. I do hope she gets better soon.
Meanwhile, the feasting must go on (more for the others!). We devoured the spectacular wild boar and bison my uncle so carefully prepared, and finished the evening off with a toasting ceremony that involved my uncle's prized Louis XIII. He acquired it over 15 years ago, and promised to open it when his son weds.
And the time is NOW!!!!

Pictured here is my lovely aunt and uncle (another uncle), who were clearly over the moon with the glass of priceless golden liquid...
Lighting was really poor and hence the blurry image. I thought it was an accurate capture of the ambiance of the evening.
