City Builder
Crap of a run this morning. Just all over not feeling it. Blerched. But I did keep going - three times I thought about turning for home and didn't.
While out I said hello to a pair of lorikeets. From an adjacent bit of the tree I heard a softer and sweeter little lorikeet noise that I was (and am) sure was a chick. I stepped sideways and peered up looking for it; next thing there was possibly the harshest noise I've heard from a lorikeet, and one of the adults was staring at me as fixedly as fixedly can be. It was really very plain what it was all about - so I ran on before I stressed them any further.
I didn't do much in the garden today, watering, a bit of mowing, a touch of rose maintenance, and a trip to the garden centre to get some "pick and mix" lettuce and a terracotta bowl to plant them in. That is now sitting on the deck, so with any luck we should soon be able to just pop outside and grab some salad. 8)
I was going to blip a rose, but decided in the end that this pic illustrated some of the rest of the day rather nicely: lego and dinosaurs. I got roped in to help build the lego city that was planned to span the entire house ("you get the best ideas!" Missy said to her brother when he suggested that), and shot this off before joining in.
Largerer.
It's hot. And kids have been kids, with the raspberry-blowing and bums and farts and such. Imma have a bowlo' ice-cream.
