Two orchestras in a week

Tonight Matt and myself headed down to a really cool venue in Battersea to a music event in an old warehouse. The concept was that singer songwriters would work with a full orchestra the day before to recompose their original material and then play it live to an audience.

For many this was the biggest gig they had ever played and it must have been so cool for them to play their music with strings, brass and horns for the first time. The results were incredible and it was amazing to be in a room with so many talented people.

In between the artists the orchestra played covers with some guest singers. One of my favourites (and this photo) was a version of Glory Box, originally by Portishead, which is such a great tune.
