Pickering War Weekend

So here it is again - War Weekend. Whereby, thousands of people descend on Pickering to celebrate / remember World War II and particularly the role of the railway during the war. There are lots of activities on organised by North York Moors Steam Railway, military parades through the streets, soup kitchens and lots of stands selling memorabilia and 40s vintage clothing. All manner of people dress up in authentic uniforms and 1940s clothing so it really is a sight to see. It has to be seen to be believed. Here are two very dapper gentlemen in their outfits to give you a little taster of what to expect.
