William Dutton

Meet William Dutton a medieval monk. who was buried at Norton Priory in Cheshire. Forensic artists reconstructed his face from a skull, thought to be his, which was buried at the priory.

Dutton came from an important local family who were benefactors of the priory and he took holy orders and became a canon there. He bears more than a passing resemblance to living members of the same family. He seemingly has the Dutton nose.

Today was apple day at the priory which is also home to the national quince collection.
