Wet Sunday
It's been wet today. Normally I wouldn't mind the thrum of raindrops on the utility roof - I'd actually quite like it, but today it's been a reminder of the changability of the British weather. This time last week we were wandering Stratford in shirt sleeves and today feel the need to close the curtains and shut out the cold.
I've had my eye on the weather all day as tomorrow I head out to Ullswater in the Lake District. Walking in the Lakes in the rain could be considered a romantic jaunt but tramping across wet fields with 26 moaning children will be nothing of the sort. Let's hope the weather holds so that the resedential goes off with a bang and not a damp squib.
Pixie has spent most of today cuddled on my lap. She's not to keen on wet weather either but took a turn around the garden with me looking for my blip of the day and then posed candidly beside the flowerbed.
After a stressful few work days, I hope someone upstairs is smiling on us for the week ahead
