Just swinging in the rain

We were very much looking forward to the World Conker Championship but the rain lashed down most of the night and all morning. It finally stopped at about 2.15 this afternoon and the event was scheduled to finish at 3pm so we didn't go :-(( We feel very sorry for the organisers who must have put in so much hard work only to be let down by the weather. At 4.20 the sun made a brief appearance!
However, the bluetits and chaffinches didn't seem to mind the rain too much and cheered up a disappointing day.
