Selby Abbey

A last minute change of plans saw us at Selby, North Yorkshire today, and right in the centre is this amazing Abbey.

Very prominent so I found it surprising that it was bolted and barred, with no information about opening times, activities or anything.

By contrast most of the small towns and villages that we visit are proud to declare that their Church is open all day!
