North Kessock and the Beauly Firth at dusk. From the Kessock Bridge, with the RNLI lifeboat station in the foreground.
Took the car into town (Inverness) this afternoon, to get rid of various items at the dump/recycling centre, and pay a quick visit to Wickes. Bought several four metre lengths of large square-section guttering. Cut them in half so as they'd fit in the car. Subsequently cut them all up into ~400mm lengths. Going to use them to provide ventilation paths between sections of dwarf walls under the house's floor. Planning to add insulation (or complete it, one day...) and without these, the insulation would block off ventilation to some areas - not a good idea, lest you want dampness and dry rot to ensue.
