Lily
A long scenic drive to Cardigan, fantastic lunch at the 25 Mile, bargains bought at Howies and a great look around the Hiut factory with some lovely people. Stephan bought himself some jeans for his birthday then we carried on down the coast to pick up lily.
A 1960s vw camper, she looked beautiful and was a lot of fun. We all squeezed in to the front then rattled on down the road to our campsite. Sandra had kindly provided us with a welcome bag of goodies including a birthday cake, and fresh bread, bacon and eggs for breakfast.
I drove her around the campsite and could barely turn the wheel, let alone change gear! The brakes needed plenty of time to work too! We found the least windy spot then warmed up our pre made left over lamb stew to eat with fresh bread. Jacob and Henny had a great time running around, Stephan and I enjoyed plastic mugs of wine and watched the sunset.
It was a lovely evening. When it got too dark and cold we put the bed down in the van and snuggled up in bed. Getting Jacob to sleep wasn't easy. Sleeping in a bed only slightly larger than a single with a wriggly toddler with a bad cough between us was a nightmare. Being woken every two hours by coughing, crying, shouts of "Bobo" (ie Bob the Builder), and being kicked/crawled over/head butted was even worse! At 6.15am we gave up and put Bob on the iPad for Jacob while we dozed for as long as possible.
