Bagpipes in Brazil

In this case, belonging to Cristiano Bicudo, head of a prize-winning band of some 25 pipers in São Paulo (not a scrap of Scottish blood to be seen - or shed - but kilts and skean-dhus a-plenty).
Cristiano was in Macaé, an oil town up the coast from Rio de Janeiro, to play at the 9th annual Macaé ceilidh, organised by the Scots there and attended by a fine mix of nationalities from all corners. The standard of dancing may not have been brilliant, but the enthusiasm couldn't be faulted . A grand night we had of it!
Pretty much all of my photos this weekend have been absolute rubbish, so am posting this one that I took when Cristiano laid his pipes down for a while.
