Libation
It's October, so for anyone who has grown up in apple country, it's also cider season. Cold or warmed, apple cider comes in different varieties, and for me, my favorite cider of all time comes from a local place called The Cider Mill. Their cider tastes like home to me. A slice of my life that brings back memories of lime and cinnamon candied apples, and of my mom bringing home cider and fresh donuts in a waxed paper bag. Cinnamon sugared, powder sugared, and her favorite plain. All made with cider in the batter, which added a tasty zing to the otherwise sugary confection. This cider is not from there, and I must admit, it leaves me craving the sweet nectar that one can only find on Nanticoke Ave. I can go without the donuts and candy apples, but not without a nice cold glass of Cider Mill apple cider. I guess a trip there is in my near future.
