Weather Report!!!

Bugger the weather.

We are stuck in Wellington, the airport is closed as is our destination Timaru. Shocking gale force winds laced with driving rain have hammered Wellington overnight and all day. 140 km and up to 160km an hour at many times. Baton down the hatches, the storm is still cranking and not eased at all. Janelle out daughter almost got blown off the footpath as she went to work this morning. Power off, trees down, windows blown in (or out) , scaffolding collapsed in the inner city, buses taken off the roads and inter island ferries cancelled.
The South Island is having a rough time of it too.

My blip today is taken from indoors through the window looking out across the road and up to the hills beyond. Used the 50mm on a slow shutter speed, hand held trying to show the wind on the closer tree.
