Capital Chaos

With winds gusting in excess of 100km this afternoon I stuck to a recent promise and caught the bus home instead. As I approached the bus stop I came across Willis St (the main bus route) in shut down mode because 3 storeys of scaffolding had been blown down in the wind. Buses backed up for blocks in either direction and I was wondering whether I should risk the bike after all but walked a few blocks and caught one on a different route. When I saw the waves in the harbour along the bay where I would be cycling my decision to bus was confirmed. You'd be mad to cycle in that and I saw a few people walking their bikes. I don't know if they'd had a tumble - wouldn't be surprised.
