A64 tottering
This was the day we set off to the Designer outlet at York. With barely no diesel. This is the day we pulled up in the huge traffic jam and I tottered along the puddly roadside. With black high suede boots on. (skinny jeans and small leather jacket). This is the day numerous men wound down the windows and asked me to hop in. The day that the police asked me why was I walking down the A64. Fortunately it was also the day we'd followed our friends and they were waiting for me in a lay-by. They drove me to the nearest petrol station 3 1/2 miles away. I rang MrC and he said he thought he could get there on the last drops. And he did. This is the day when I never even asked him: 'Why did you set off with no bloody diesel?' I amaze myself sometimes.
