Sing...sing a song.

I said yesterday Sundays were my favourite day. I have changed my mind. Mondays are my favourite as I get to sing! My wee choir is taking a jaunt through different choral styles this season...after some fairly intense Purcell funeral music we are singing this awesome music. Sacred Harp music. The whole structure of it encourages belting it out, and not being too perfect. You face each other which is nice as in a choir you never usually see your fellow singers. And its based around a structure which sees notes in different shapes and singing the first verse in 'sol' 'fa' 'la' 'mi' before launching into the words. Its old religious singing and it is immense.
