St Basil's Moscow

What a day!

After leaving London Sunday 9.30pm we arrived in Moscow at 4am, only to find my bag had not been put on the plane. The 4 hour time difference really threw us and it was about 6am by the time we finally arrived at our hotel in central Moscow.

We were offered the couches unless we wanted to pay $700 to get our room early (no thanks). At 8am we were finally allowed access to our room and caught up on some serious sleep for a few hours before venturing out.

This shot was taken in the early evening. We noticed a significant increase in military presence around our hotel and the red square throughout the day. Access to the Red Square does not exist at the moment so we were very limited in where we could shoot from. I love this building, it is so colourful and joyful. Tomorrow afternoon train to St Petersburg, and hopefully in the next couple of days my bag full of clothes will catch me up!
