The Castle

We had a fantastic day in Edinburgh today.......I am born and bred in this city, can tell you many of its tales but even I found new things out about it today. Mamma G wanted to familiarise herself with the 18th Century City, which much of it is still around, as she is reading a series of books set then.

I wandered aimlessly taking photographs......found The Signet Library (which we're going back to tour) and stepped inside the courtyard of the General Assembly of Scotland with its statue to John Knox....amazing !!! ;0)

The closes (alleys) in Edinburgh are incredible and all have a tale to tell.....but those will be told another day ;0)
