Viaduct
The thing is, if I go somewhere and then come home again, I don't like retracing my steps. So, today, having driving along the M65 to Blackburn for a meeting, I didn't much fancy motorway driving all the way back home.
Instead, I went north, to the east of the Forest of Bowland and then headed east to Long Preston and back along the A65. But even that can get a little dull, so I turned off at Clapham and took the backroad to Ingleton, climbing up the hillside and obtaining a beautiful view of the plains to the south.
I'm not sure that Ingleton is famous for this viaduct, over which the railway once travelled, but I love it. I just wish they'd open it up to the public so that we could walk across it.
