Hawk HLV
This shot was taken on the second photo outing of the day - it's good to be on holiday! :-D This is a photo of the heavy lifting vessel 'Hawk' moored in the Firth of Forth. The ship is a converted oil tanker with a specially designed centre section to accomodate large loads. When empty and sitting down in the water the ship looks quite strange as the centre section disappears and all that remains visible is the bow and the, seemingly, unconnected stern section.
