Carmanah ancient trees

We drove to Carmanah Walbran Provincial Park where we walked the trails and saw the old growth trees. What a treat to see so many large trees - spruce and cedar.

We saw elk near Youbou and two bears near Nitinat.

125 kilometers driving to the park. 75 kilometers of gravel logging road. Too many pot holes, washboard and mud holes. Now we suffer from Shaken Adult Syndrome.
