Local River Today.....
A day of sun, blue sky with white clouds rolling through and a light breeze, much better than thunder, lightning and hail. The river is up, dirty with a strong current. Our local bridge is closed yet again creating an inconvenience for people on the other side with a long commute for workers, school children and bus drivers making for a tiring day.
The Wrybill birds will have lost their nests in this recent rise of the river but I've heard they adapt well and are expected to re-nest before the month is out. They are endemic and vulnerable with perhaps not more than 3 nesting couples on this river, they're forever battling against mother nature and predators.
The mountains in the distance - left is Mt Thomas and right is Mt Grey both clear of snow normal for this time of year.
It's been a hectic day for myself with this being the only shot taken today, time to light up the new kettle and get a cuppa underway.
Happy Tuesday blippers :)
