Doorstep clearer

Another major day. It started well, fair weather and much speed along the pulk tracks from yesterday, but then it clagged in. And the angle of ascent increased. However, this was probably my favourite day, hard work but an achievement and another nice hut at the end.

Before we enter the huts we have a few jobs to do: clearing the door, collecting snow for water, checking out and clearing the route to the toilets (although this hut has an internal one) and trying to get the snow off ourselves and the pulks before we go indoors. By the time we have done this then there is usually a fire going and we are well on the way to a bowl of hot soup.
