October?

Walking the dog this morning I met a friend who gave me a tip off about the whereabouts of a 'carpet' of mushrooms. Despite having Roxy with me I decided to search them out. It wasn't quite a carpet of mushrooms but there was quite a variety. I took some photos despite Roxy pulling in all directions.

Should have known better. Low light and excited dogs don't make for great photos.

So, a wander in the garden when the sun made a brief appearance expecting to have to try and do something creative with the browning leaves. To my surprise there was quite a few flies still flitting from the little blooms still bravely flowering.

Doesn't really look like October.
