Window on the past

I was visiting a project in Royston today and stopped off at the Spire park which was created by the community in the first years fo the century.

Looking through the slate structure you can see part of the church which once stood on the site. The community was undergoing a lot of change in thelast three decades of the 20 century and they wanted to make a feature of the spire of teh church to retain a sense of identy in the area.
