mixed

new recipe - courgette and chocolate cake (don't all go yuk, you all eat carrot cake, right?). it looked weird mixing in something green, but when it came out of the oven it just looked like chocolate brownie (it didn't rise very well :-( ). tastes ok, no noticing the courgette tho. it needs tinkering with, i think (and i need to figure out cream cheese icing that actually sets firm...).

also mixed: signals and messages. we spoke and sort of sorted, but things still aren't good, settled or comfortable.

also mixed: the work situation took a new twist, and i found myself being ever so gently herded into something i'm not keen on - i agreed to it hypothetically, then found that was taken to be 'let's do it right now'. for once, i put my foot down (gently and diplomatically); i'm tired of doing things i don't want to and i'm tired of being the solution to problems just because i happen to be competent. the deal's already a bit dodgy, i'm not giving any more.
