Gently down the stream

Pheasant fodder

Deserted my desk and went out for a quick walk at lunchtime. Was astonished to see this large patch of flowers covering the corner of a field, until some little peepy noises made me realise the place was full of pheasants being reared for shooting :(

Most were crop plants not wild ones - linseed, oilseed rape, etc. I had a moment of strong temptation where I imagined myself running full tilt into the flowers and blipping 20 pheasants rising in alarm from the field. But I didn't. And you know - I just wish I had!

However, here's a decorous shot instead - boo. (I do like the way the colours are pheasanty though)

Happy Tuesday xx
