I've been to the canal again.

This is the junction of the Leeds/Liverpool (or as I prefer Liverpool/Leeds) canal and the Rufford Branch. This branch joins the River Douglas which then drains into the River Ribble. I believe it is possible to navigate a canal boat through into the Lancaster canal via Preston.
It was such a beautiful still morning and my bike ride got interrupted by blipping, anyway I ambled off to my favourite coffee stop then had a very pleasant ride home. Job done. However tomorrow's weather forecast looks dire.
