I was at the v&a museum today with my father-in-law and sister-in-law and the boys to see the surrealism exhibit....

about 2 rooms into it roland was fussy so I put him to the breast and this line of 5 or so security guards (all male natch) just stood there staring and it made me rather uncomfortable. I mean, boobies werent exactly rare in surrealistic works and we'd already seen 3 or so in the previous 2 rooms so I dont know what they found so fascinating. later I was going out to smoke and I passed this sculpture which just made me think their behaviour was even weirder, I mean, it's not like you could work there and never see this sculpture.

granted it's nothing like in the US, when I nursed my oldest son the kindest thing I got was staring, dirty looks and comments were more frequent so I should appreciate this I guess, since roland's been born this is only the second time we've even been stared at. but still. I AM FEEDING MY BABY. it's not WEIRD.
