Stacks of Chimneys
Instead of those lovely crisp autumn days we experienced at this time of year when we visited Becks and Rob in the US , we've had a run of mild, dank and overcast days which don't inspire me to blip, so today I walked up to the park after work to blip these chimneys in St Ives which I spotted a couple of weeks ago.
We were discussing today how certain trees are missing out the colour spectrum and going straight to brown and crispy, possibly due to the weather conditions. We also commented on the bounty of nuts and berries on the trees and this was covered on Countryfile on Sunday. Apparently it is a mast year when the trees over produce fruits and berries so that the animals who feed on them will have plenty and there will still be enough left over to perpetuate the tree species. Mast year occur every 5-7 years only because they take such a lot out of the trees..
