Reflecting Pool

I had a short walk around Crathes Estate. Arriving at the pool, I think it was a mill pond at one time, I was struck by the reflections of the trees in the pool. There was almost no wind so the reflections were almost mirror like. The pool is so surrounded by trees the pool is sheltered from the wind anyway.

The National Trust of Scotland, whose property this is, have built a salmon ladder leading up into the pool, and presumably the salmon can carry on upstream in the river feeding this pool. No salmon today however, or any other wildlife.
