on the fell

As Lakeland hills go, this is a small one. It's also the most convenient for me to whizz up and down in an hour or two depending on whether I go to the top or not.

A morning of laundry and cleaning then an early lunch. A circular route on Loughrigg early afternoon and then home to do my domestic goddess bit!

Real home cooking this evening. Fish pie made with half price Sainsbury's cod and half price Tesco prawns both of which were in the freezer. Ok, I cheated a bit buying mashed potato but did make my own parsley sauce. Served with spinach and carrots and washed down with a few glasses of Chenin Blanc. Lovely.
