Barnes bridge

This bridge has recently been painted and is looking at its best (well for quite a long time). I have some rather better shots of this in the past with a Steam train crossing and many pictures of the bridge during various rowing races. In addition I have the vivid memory of having a minor contretemps with one of the central pillars during the Pairs' Head race many years ago. I think whilst the collision slowed us down a bit, the shock inspired us to get our act together and we finished the race in what felt like much better form.
