What a day. I went to Mikes camera in Boulder CO and rented a Canon 5d Mark ii. This is something I've been considering for sometime. Rent before you buy sort of deal. Went up Boulder Canyon and had to call and ask how to turn on the camera. That was the first and only embaresment for the day. Thank God, the rest I figured out on my own. The camera is similar to the 7d but with a few exceptions. That was a great learning lesson. What I wasn't so sure about was the quality of the foto's compared to the 7d. The screen is smaller, the shutter speed and balance were hard for me because the dial is small. But the good thing is I learned how to use the external read outs. Now let me tell yah, the clairity and the detail is outstanding. I changed my mind about the 5D. I've been told the 6D compairs with the 5D with few exceptions and costs about 1K less. This will be my next rental.
