Porty People and Places

A shadowy blipper reflected in the bus shelter. The beach and the blustery surf can also be seen if you look closely. It was good to be running on the beach here again after my work away in SE Asia.

Across the Forth, off Burntisland, there was a small flotilla of tugs and supply vessels fussing around a massive oil rig installation. Not sure whether it has been assembled here or has come back for its MOT.

Further down the promenade, the modern apartment block that includes the Beach House Cafe on its ground floor is now clad in enough scaffolding to cover an oil rig. I understand that despite the newness of this building, all its windows and the external rendering have to be removed and replaced. This is being done at the constructor's expense. It does not, however, cover The Beach House for any loss of trade while their seaview is lost behind an iron curtain of scaffold poles and buckles.
