Autumn Leaf...

Sun now out, after a rainy dull morning and wanting a quick blip ( engrossed in playing around with my new Nokia smartphone) I went out with my macro lens, to the local park.

Initially wanting something creative, with out of focus dreamy bits, I failed somewhat, partly as the leaves were on real live trees, not many branches were low enough to get 1:1 life size macro shots of.

Then focussing on a shot that was technically sound, I stopped down to a tiny f45, needed to get it all sharp across the frame and as I was holding leaf up against the sun with my left hand - and had the camera in the right (not ideal - NOT recommended!) I upped the iso to a generous degree, so that camera shake did not spoil the sharpness.

This is uncropped and had very little done to it in post editing. Look in LARGE at all the little details...

Lens is Tamron SP 90mm f2.8 macro, life size.
