Vacation's End

Our friends return to Washington this afternoon following 12 days with us here in Mexico. I probably wouldn't be smiling this much if I was returning to Fall-soon-to-be-Winter weather, but it is hard to be grumpy while walking the warm sands (even at 9:30 in the morning) of Playa La Ropa. They had been bugging me for a new Facebook photo all vacation and this morning was the last chance (though I got some pretty good kayaking photos the day before). Hopefully this will get them through the long, cold winter that is to come. They have talked about returning with their girls during the college break, so we expect to see them again sooner rather than later.
