Tough Loss

The London Mets National Baseball League team were knocked out of the British Finals this afternoon in a tough loss against the eventual winners of the tournament. It has been a tough weekend all round and with many of our regulars unavailable we called up some players from the AAA League who gave their all. My eldest son pitched very well but the damage was already done and despite a late fightback - the very definition of battling - we went down 11-7.

I had better pictures, but I like this shot because there is so much going on in it, from the calmness of the batter to the tension of the base runner desperate to break for home, to the dust thrown up by the ball and the catcher preparing to block it with his body.
