Rose hips

After a morning of rain, the sky cleared earlier than expected and I was able to take a late afternoon walk with my friend David ... we should have been flying this morning but the weather firmly put paid to that!

Walked out from his house, across the railway line (over a bridge) and across a couple of fields, complete with sheep and cattle ... and a bull ... and then over the M4. I actually managed to take a photo of a stretch of the M4 devoid of traffic, although that state rapidly changed to its more normal state!

Having decided that would be my blip for the day, we walked back via a slightly different route and found these rose hips shining in the sun, and against a wonderful blue sky.

Even when the weather is bleak, there can still be immense beauty in the world around us.
