Another jolly day out!
Here is Magellan, on the coach on the way back from the Year 8 science trip to the Natural History museum that I got to go on. I was hoping to get a shot of him braving a dinosaur's jaws but everything was behind glass and there was too much glare for a decent photo.
I hadn't realised what a great schools programme the museum has. There were booklets for the kids to fill in on every topic (ours were doing Human Reproduction but I saw other schools doing ones on insects and reptiles and the younger children seemed to have some great colouring in ones to do) and I really laughed at the groups of little ones I saw from other schools. Some were wearing explorer hats and had binoculars and another group were all in little white lab coats and carrying clipboards. It was brilliant and I threatened our lot with getting them to dress up like that next time. The whole place was full of school groups and there were lots of volunteers giving talks and running activities.
All in all, a really great day. We even had the same coach driver as for the trip to Brighton a couple of weeks ago so we continued where we left off last time, putting the world to rights.
