oldest Oak

in Worthing? it's referenced in 18th century writing by Charlotte Lamb and rumoured to have skeletons coming up from its roots on midsummer night, which is the old English version of Halloween, when the night is the shortest and the dead and the living the closest they get... apparently. it may also have been a gibbet tree in times gone by.

today though, it has a nice hollow worth checking out!
