Residential Day 3

Today it has rained. And rained and rained! This has not stopped our fun and enjoyment.

This morning I attempted the Leap of Faith. This is a vertical climb up a telegraph pole. The idea is that you stand with two feet on top of the pole and then jump for a trapeze. Yeah right! I climbed over way though....which is further than I thought I would! Seven out of ten children (11 year olds) successfully clambered to the top and swung unto the unknown. Perhaps my body is too old - or perhaps my mind understands the dangers that their young ones don't perceive.

This afternoon a midst more rain, we went for a "Gorge Walk" This is technically a climb up a raging waterfall. I kid you not! However, wellies full of water, freezing hands with wet gloves could not curtail our sense of adventure and I ended the day rather proud of my achievements!

One more full day before we head for home! There are updates regarding school, but I shall save these for another rainy day!
