Comforting

Early start today for the usual weekly shopping trip to Asda, The weather was fine when I went but that didn't last long. It has rained heavily for most of the day. By the sound of it its getting worse. The cats have been regularly crying to go out so I open the patio door and as soon as they see the heavy rain they decide against venturing out.

The Forum challenge today is comforting. Not sure this shot is appropriate but it shows Lily cleaning Tino. He started off by climbing in the bed beside her and starting to clean her. She was fast asleep but woke up and started cleaning him. This went on for a while both cleaning each other but then Tino rested his head on Lily and just lay there while she cleaned him. Apart from comforting each other this scene also comforted me as it was lovely to see them being nice to each other. They tolerate each other most of the time and they do have the occasional fight - they rarely show any tenderness to each other.

In the end Neil didn't go to Middlesbrough. He woke up this morning feeling ill so he had to phone up and call in sick. He has had a much needed restful day at home and is feeling fine now. If he had needed comforting I could have incorporated that into my blip - but he didn't need comforting at all. Pity.
