Sensuous

I noticed this flower on the deck of the house I was visiting. It had these gorgeous closely-spaced pink and white petals. The bloom drew my eye and immediately made me think of a macro shot. Later, in the day, I set up the tripod and took this.

The goal was to get very close this shot because I wanted the highlight the bright colors and sensuous curves of the flower. The resulting shot is a bit abstract which was the point. In taking this shot, I used both my macro lens and stacked extension tubes which let me get extremely close.
