The Owl And The Pussycat
Ali, meet Hoot Owl, he won't be perching there for long!
Tonight I went to an illustrated lecture by photographer, David Ward. He described the qualities a good photo should have as being, Beauty, Simplicity and Mystery. He said artists start with a blank canvas and keep adding things until they've put on enough: photographers start with everything in front of them in great detail and start taking things away until they are left with with only what they want.
I agreed with him on most things except his ridicule of the thirds rule, I love the thirds rule and the harmony it creates in an image! In the interlude I got invited to a preview of a photography exhibition that starts next week. I had planned to visit anyhow, but previews are always nice!
It was late when I got back but at least I knew what I was going to blip. This is the soft toy which was suggested for a pressie for my next grandchild. It was delivered today: The Grandchild will be delivered on Monday!
Ali loves seeing me set up the table for blipping and always wants to join in.
Come on now, any owls and pussy cats wanting their photo taken, noses on a thirds line, please!
