Last gasp of sunshine

Busy day painting, papering, tidying and keeping the peace. Kids did some very creative works of art this morning when left to their own devices for a while in the vicinity of the craft cupboard! I rescued these battered sunflowers from the wind and rain in the garden, before they get totally destroyed. Reminds us of sunnier days just a week or two ago, but seems like much longer.
