Breakthrough

It rained pretty much solidly from when I got back from Kintyre early yesterday evening until late this morning. Then, in the space of about half an hour, the cloud which was half way down the hills, thinned and broke whilst shafts of light illuminated the trees by the loch. The layered effect was extraordinary and I am glad I had decided yesterday to delay my departure for party conference in order to clear off the emails and papers that seem to pile up day after day.
