Train Journey and Tiffany.
Today was very trying indeed.
On my journey to One Planet shop, a man caused the train to be delayed by approx 25 minutes. It was already 15 minutes behind time.
He insisted his bus card covered train journeys as well, but it clearly did not.
The driver and passenger guard who sold the tickets ( I have heard them called train managers), encouraged him to buy a ticket, but he persistently held up the laminated bus card and refused to buy a train ticket.
The police were called and eventually the man who became increasingly troubled going by his facial distress and expression, jumped off the train and then a few minutes later tried to force his way back on the train without the intention of buying a ticket.
The two rail staff electronically shut the train doors to keep him off the train.
I found all this very unsettling and was in tears as we pulled out of Rishton Station. Bus fares are considerably more money than train fares to make this journey of two stops!
I felt helpless and the whole situation was insanely something the passengers had to sit through if they wished to make their journey.
As it was, the train only went as far as Burnley Central due to the delay, stops well beyond Accrington where I eventually arrived feeling shocked and quite upset by the frustration and pointlessness of the incident.
I felt concern for the distressed man, having prayed he would come to his senses and buy a train ticket and wondered whether the police found him and lots of paperwork was completed. I may never know.
The blip is about future engineering from 9th November 2013 than impacts on Maria's journey and lasts until 28th March 2014.
Paul can give a lift when she wishes to come home.
Also Tiffany, a kind, gentle , sensitve cat, who gives no trouble to anyone, bless her.
