A light in the darkness

At just before 10pm last night we got the call from the hospice that they felt we should be with my mum.

After sitting with her all night, at 7:45am today she was finally released from her pain as we held her and said our final goodbyes.

It was a moment I was dreading but in reality I was glad I was there. Au revoir mum.
